Two NY Highways colleagues were recognised for their outstanding achievements at this year’s North Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards, held in Harrogate on 11 June.
Joe Robson and Luka Jobson were both named as finalists, highlighting the strength of talent across our apprenticeship programmes and ‘Grow Your Own’ development scheme.
These awards celebrate the impact and success of apprentices across the region, and it’s fantastic to see NYH employees being recognised at this level.
Joe Robson, who is based in Selby, was shortlisted for Construction Apprentice of the Year and went on to take home the award on the night—an excellent achievement and well-deserved recognition of his dedication to learning and positive impact he has made on the team and on schemes he has worked on.
Luka Jobson, who works from our Thirsk depot, was shortlisted for Higher Apprentice of the Year, achieving an impressive second place in a highly competitive category. This, along with a recent promotion to Interim Senior Supervisor, demonstrates how invaluable Luka is to the business.
